I couldn’t go to Taake’s or Cult of Fire’s gig in Prague last weekend due to the corona virus, so Saturday night was spent seeing a concert DVD and various YouTube videos. Drew this as well at the same time in a couple of hours, followed by some add-ons with markers the day after. Made with watercolour pencils, Signo pen and watercolour markers.

Also, some black and white nature photos from this weekend. Enjoy the dark times.
I had been working on a bigger image since December, and about a week ago I realized it wasn’t good. No good dynamic, no meaning and just no life. So I scrapped it, and made this one in much shorter time instead. Usually, the meaning and symbolism behind a drawing is what drives me to finish it, but this time, there is nothing. It is just mindless, and that is the point of the drawing. The saying to the right is from a poem by Alan Pope in 1711, but it has since then become a spoken word, describing “inexperienced or rash people attempting things that more experienced people avoid.”
Made with water colour pens, a water reservoar pencil and ink.
About 5 weeks ago I was in Uppsala with my guy and we spent part of the day looking for local birds, the peregrines said to live in Uppsala Domkyrka among others. And some were found, despite it being January, not really a good time to see birds out and flying.
So, from left to right; Peregrine, dipper (it was by the canal in central Uppsala) and a single, very fluffy tit.
